A young, passionate and ambitious journalist, John Forbes is ready to cover the world through any beat. 

John graduated from the University of North Texas in May of 2026 with two bachelor's degrees in political science and digital journalism.  

Less than a year after graduating, he has published with The Maine Monitor, Fort Worth Report, South Bend Tribune and the North Texas Daily. His work has been republished by the Associated Press, The Canadian Press, the Dallas Morning News and other statewide, national and international outlets.

John's reporting hits on important issues in the environment, education/higher education, business and healthcare through photography, data and a human focus.
